2012 Tryout Fees
Online Registration
$45.00 (for a single age group tryout)
$55.00 (for attending tryouts for two different age groups)
Walk-in Paper Tryout Registration
$55.00 (for a single age group tryout)
$65.00 (for attending tryouts for multiple tryouts)
This additional fee for Walk-In Registration is due to the amount of information that will have to be manually entered into the system to correctly identify your contact information through an automated email verfication process.
If this is your first time registering with Jammers VBC, you will have to go through the process of setting up an account first, and then completing the online Tryout Registration. If you are a returning player, your information should be in the system from the previous season, requiring your Login and Password to access your account.
Following the completition of the Online Tryout Registration, you will have the opportunity to join or renew your USAV membership through Carolina Region VB. This is a requirement of EVERY player participating in the 2012 season of JO volleyball, regardless of which club or team you play for. This fee goes directly to USAV, JVC receives no portion of this fee.
If you are unsure of your decision to play VB during the 2012 season, or are concerned about being selected for a team with ANY club, you may want to wait until you are sure of your status before joining USAV. Once you have paid the USAV player fee, it is non-refundable regardless of your participation for the 2012 season.
*Any and all collected information will remain confidential and only utilized by JVC. We do not sell or provide email or contact information to anyone outside of the JVC administration.

Attendance by all players to BOTH tryout sessions is strongly recommended. Multi-day sessions have been scheduled in order to allow players additional time to demonstrate their volleyball skills and abilities. This will also give our coaches ample time to better evaluate the players resulting in a making the best possible selections for the most competitive teams at each age group.
Any player unable to attend BOTH sessions will need to inform our coaches prior to the start of the tryout session, and understand that a single tryout session may prevent a player from receiving a full evaluation.
JVC will make every effort to properly place players on rosters with players of similar ability and according to the positions they fit into the team's rotation. A successful tryout performance and proper evaluation will be critical in the completition of this extremely important task.
You will soon discover that there will be conflicts with the same age groups of different clubs. As much as every club tries to offer tryout sessions that will accommodate as many players as possible, we are still bound to available facilities, available coaches and trying to cycle through tryouts efficiently and effectively within the mandated tryout periods.
If you are trying out for more than one club, and have a conflict with a particular club's scheduled sessions, our position would be to prioritize your choice of clubs, while making your best effort to receive an offer from that club by following their tryout schedule.
JVC values honesty and integrity in our players, which we feel mirror a player's true character. Using a falsified reason for missing our tryouts to attend another club's tryouts will not be viewed favorably. Although we encourage players to keep their options open, not limiting themselves to one club's tryouts, we also expect respect for our effort to offer as many positons to as many players as possible.
We want to be your FIRST choice when selecting a club for the upcoming season. Don't settle for your 2nd or 3rd choice, make your 1st choice a realistic one, and go after that goal...you are sure to be a happier player all season long.
(1) Player who was born on or after Sept 1, 1992 and is a high school student during some part of the current academic year.
Many players attend tryouts for multiple clubs. During this time, you may feel the pressure to make a decision on a club's offer you have received well before the mandated waiting period.
Understanding your rights as a USAV JO Volleyball player is very important. Here is a simple list of the tryout policies of the Carolina Region
Remember this...if a club feels strong enough to offer your player a position on a team, they should certainly be willing to wait a few days for the player to make a decision without using pressure tactics to force a decision.
As we will allow for players the time to make decisions regarding any offers made, we would ask in return, that if you have chosen another club for the current season, that you would inform us as soon as possible , so that we may extend your offer to an alternate player.
Good Luck to everyone attending their chosen tryouts. Be confident, focus on the coach's instructions, show that you are a coachable player, and remember that we ALL are nervous.
