This will help us determine how many JVC players are looking to participate in the upcoming 2010 Summer Beach VB Season.

For the 2010 season, JVC will provide uniforms and registration fees for anyone wanting to play Sand/Grass VB.

IMPORTANT:
Pre-registering here DOES NOT register you for an actual tournament. You must do that at:

in order to be registered for the tournament.

Last summer a group of Jammers VB players participated in the VH1 Sand/Grass Volleyball League.

Needless to say, they had a lot of fun, and improved their volleyball skills while playing. This summer we hope to have more club members participate and join the popular variation to the sport they love so much.

Not only is sand/grass volleyball fun and exciting, it helps develop quickness and can increase one's vertical jump by 4 to 6 inches over the course of a summer.

Jammers Volleyball Club encourages all its members interested in developing their volleyball skills during the off season to consider playing several summer tournaments.

So grab a partner, check the Juniors schedule at www.vh1vb.com and register for an upcoming tournament. If entering a tournament this summer, email Steve at director@jammersvolleyball.com and find out about JVC's sponsorship of your sand/grass team.

April 24th  - Junior Beach Volleyball Open #1
May 22nd - Junior Beach Volleyball Open #2
June 19th - Junior Beach Volleyball Open #3
July 17th - Junior Beach Volleyball Championships

Notes:
    * All events will be at Jaycee Park in Raleigh, NC
    * Cost: $30/team
    * Registration: Will be available online at vh1vball.com about 1 month before each event's date

Outdoor Age Divisions* (Boys/Coed and Girls based on interest)

    * U18: Born in 1992 or 1993
    * U16: Born in 1994 or 1995
    * U14: Born in 1996 or 1997
    * U12: Born in 1998 or later

*Teams must play in the age division of the oldest player or are free to play in a higher age division if desired
 

Registration Dates:
March 1-12, 2010

Cost: $40/team - more than 2 people can be on a team's roster in order to accommodate scheduling conflicts and/or share playing time, however we can not officially count any matches where a player on one team's roster fills in for another short handed team. While these matches can still be played, the match will count as a forfeit for the team that is short handed.

Day/Time (tentative): Mondays, 5:30-8PM
Location: N. Cary Park
Format:  2 person (doubles) volleyball on sand
Divisions (based on interest/first-come, first-serve policy):

    * U18/U16 Girls
    * U18/U16 Boys/Coed
    * U14 Girls/Boys
    * U12 Girls/Boys

Note: Any league with less than 5 teams will be merged into another league if possible.  Boys are welcome to participate if enough interest exists. Younger boys teams will be merged with the girls during the regular season but if enough teams exist will have a separate season-ending tournament event.

League Dates:
    *  Week of March 22nd (weather permitting) will be an introduction session for any players who are new to beach volleyball and would like to go over rules. It is also an opportunity for anyone to come out to practice a bit before the regular season begins.
    * Weeks of  March 29th to May 17th: round-robin, regular season play (average 2 matches per week)
    * Week of May 24th: Season-ending tournament

More details will come out with the official registration forms at the end of February.
